I’m a believer, wife, mother, daughter, writer, teacher and friend.
I am married to my complete opposite and I like it that way. My husband is intelligent, loyal, creative and well versed in orchestrating tea parties, swaddling baby dolls and reading Little House at bedtime. My daughters inspire me through their discovery and challenge me with the unpredictability of childhood. Ultimately, they've caused me to look beyond myself and I'm better for it.

I love order and loathe change. I cook for a family who is part vegetarian, part carnivore, part dairy-intolerant and part two year-old. I wish I were more laid back but one look at my spice cabinet and you'll know the truth. I occasionally publish articles. I dream of writing a book and scratch my head as to how I’ll pull this off while also maintaining my strong aversion for speaking in front of crowds - defined as any number beyond four.
Friendships are central to my being and so is time by myself. I’m pretty sure I was designed with a hyperactive empathy gene which helps my writing and my relationships and hinders sleep. I love to read and have a strong affinity for Post-it Tabs. I prefer ceramic over paper cups for my hot beverages and paper pages over wireless reading devices for every occasion.
I love the ocean. There is something entirely nostalgic about the feeling of salt water drying on my skin and bits of sand at the bottom of my bed covers. Several evenings a week, you can find me swimming laps right around dusk; everyone is happier when this actually takes place. I'm often mistaken as a person who camps. While I like the idea, I've yet to overcome the hurdles of bugs, sleeping on the ground and encountering wildlife after hours.
I’m humbled that anyone would take the time to read my musings but am thankful for each of you that do.
